Lawrence Park is one of Toronto's most exclusive and affluent neighbourhoods, ranked as the wealthiest in all of Canada in 2011. Lawrence Park is located in a very peaceful and tranquil setting that includes gently rolling hills, winding roads and a lush topography. Lawrence Park is actually divided into Lawrence Park North and Lawrence Park South. The western side of the neighborhood falls under Bridle Path-Sunnybrook-York Mill, while the eastern section belongs to Lawrence Park South, which extends well beyond neighborhood limits and includes parts of Lytton Park. Lawrence Park North does not include any section of the neighborhood and encompasses Bedford Park, Wanless Park and Teddington Park. Lawrence Park is directly adjacent to another affluent Toronto neighbourhood called Lytton Park which are often confused with each other.

Lawrence Park North encompasses the neighbourhoods better known as Bedford Park, Wanless Park and Teddington Park. Offering a mix of detached and semi-detaches homes, the area is geared towards young families. With an excellent selection of schools, both public and private, numerous parkettes and playgorunds, a community centre, a library and easy access to public transit. Along with big lots, mature trees, convenient shopping and easy access to public transit, it is no surprise that it is one of Canada's most affluent neighbourhoods.

The first advertisement for Lawrence Park in 1907, trumpeted it as an 'aristocratic neighbourhood', 'four hundred feet above Lake Ontario', and 'Far from the Lake Winds in Winter'. Lawrence Park has certainly lived up to its reputation as one of Toronto's most exclusive neighbourhoods with a 2014 average sale price of $2,843,000.
